    In addition to the standard screw-on mounting bolt on the round mounting plate, this kit will work with any of the GPS or phone cradles manufactured by RAM that utilize the 1" ball socket connector. *All RAM products come with a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer.     . It fits yokes, rails and rods from 1 inch to a maximum of 2.1 inch in diameter. The kit comes with 2 clamp straps and a rubber protective clamp sleeve. It includes the 3-inch arm and round base for mounting electronics (GPS units, GoPro and other brand cameras, tablets, phones, CCTV, etc. up to 5 lbs.) also great for mounting any RAM product - up to 5 lbs. - anywhere a yoke, rail or rod is available.
    To mount the base, place the saddle-shaped plate on the yoke rail or rod then wrap the (rubber protected) metal clamp strap around the rail/rod and plate. Tighten the screw knob on the metal strap with a screwdriver until the strap has a firm hold on the rail or rod. If mounting to a yoke or rail of more than 2.1 inch diameter, larger clamps can be purchased at most pilot shops or any hardware store.
    The round stud base is the 1/4 inch / 20 RAM (2-1/2 inch diameter)

    The arm is the standard RAM 3-inch double socket arm that sells separately for

A single spring inside the arm opens the end sockets, allowing you to pivot the ball and socket connection. The ball and socket design provides superior shock and vibration isolation for electronics and other aircraft accessories.
